RA8876 DX FT8

This project is a continuation of the DX FT8 Project which was designed around the STM32f746 Disco Board. This project uses the Teensy 4.1 board ( another STM processor based board) along with a much larger 1024 X 600 Pixel Capacitive Touch Screen Display to produce a larger FT8 rig which has a lot of graphic capability ans a faster processor.

The project board has the same outline dimensions as the 7 inch display and is designed to mate with a DX_FT8 5 Band or 7 Band Board designed by Barb (Barbaros Asuroglu). This allows for direct insertion of the DX_FT8 Board onto the project board with all interconnections being made by header pins, no cables required.

In addition to the Teensy 4.1 processor a Teensy Audio Shield is installed to provide an IQ Audio Interface to support DSP Upper Sideband Demodulation for FT8 Decoding.

Further, a GPS receiver may be installed to provide true stand alone portable operation to provide Real Time Clock Updating and Automatic Maidenhead Locator Updating.

The Display has been augmented with a World Polar Map which shows the location of FT8 Stations which have completed, verified contacts.

This board has been fabricated and tested. It works without any modifications.
