Description
Mechanical Ventilator - UTFPR Londrina
This project aims to develop a mechanical ventilator for use in critical situations, such as in intensive care units (ICU). The ventilator is designed to meet the needs of patients with respiratory difficulties, ensuring controlled and efficient ventilation. This project is an initiative from UTFPR Londrina, developed with the goal of providing an accessible and functional solution for medical environments.
Objective
To develop a low-cost, high-efficiency mechanical ventilator with precise control of respiratory parameters such as frequency, tidal volume, pressure, and inspiratory time. The device was designed to be easily adaptable to different hospital contexts, with a focus on simplicity, safety, and low production cost.
Features
Flow and Pressure Control: The ventilator offers airflow control, with the ability to monitor and adjust the pressure during ventilation.
Ventilation Modes: Implementation of different ventilation modes, such as assisted and controlled ventilation.
Monitoring Display: A user interface to monitor ventilation parameters in real-time.
Safety Alarms: Visual and auditory alarms to alert operators to system failures, such as pressure drop or airflow failure.
